How do I use dental floss? Break off about 18 inches of floss and wind most of it around the middle finger of the dominant hand. Wind the rest of it around the middle finger of the other hand. Using the thumbs and forefingers, slide about an inch of taut floss between the teeth. Gently curve the floss around the tooth in a C-shape at the gum line. Slide the floss gently up and down between the tooth and the gum, making sure to go beneath the gum line. Repeat this procedure on the rest of the teeth using clean sections of floss. |
