Facts You Should Know About Dental Insurance "Usual and Customary Fees" are a schedule of allowable amounts set by your insurance company based on premiums paid by you and/or your employer. Many insurance companies have more than one fee schedule of allowable amounts. The allowable amount increases with the premium. Your insurance company may state that you will receive a benefit of 100%, 80%, or 50%. These benefits are based on the allowable amount which may be higher or lower than the fee charged at TSFDC. The doctors at TSFDC do not base treatment recommendations on what your insurance company may pay. Your doctor will inform you of your needs regardless of your insurance coverage. TSFDC will make every effort to assist you in understanding your insurance benefits. However, we can only ESTIMATE your coverage. This is NOT a guarantee of payment. Insurance companies never guarantee payment until final determination has been made. |
